One Week, Every Highlight
Seven days is the sweet spot for the Dominican Republic — enough time to experience Punta Cana’s beaches, explore Santo Domingo’s history, and still have lazy pool days. This day-by-day itinerary balances adventure, culture, and relaxation perfectly.
Day 1: Arrive & Settle In
Arrive at PUJ airport, transfer to your resort, and spend the afternoon at the beach. Don’t book any tours today — just decompress. Have dinner at your resort and watch the sunset from the beach bar. Book your airport transfer in advance to skip the taxi chaos:
Day 2: Adventure Day — ATV & Water Cave
Start with the most popular adventure in Punta Cana. Ride an ATV through the countryside, swim in an underground water cave, and finish at Macao Beach. Back at the resort by lunch for pool time.
Day 3: Beach & Catamaran Cruise
Morning at the beach. Afternoon catamaran cruise with snorkeling and open bar. This is the quintessential Caribbean day — warm water, tropical drinks, and reef fish.
Day 4: Santo Domingo Cultural Day Trip
Full day exploring the oldest city in the Americas. UNESCO Colonial Zone, first cathedral, local markets, and authentic Dominican cuisine. Pickup at 6 AM, back by 7 PM.
Day 5: Rest & Resort Day
You’ve earned it. Sleep in, spa treatment, pool, beach, repeat. Maybe explore the resort’s restaurants you haven’t tried yet. Read that book you brought.
Day 6: Saona Island
The #1 day trip in the Dominican Republic. Catamaran to a pristine island, natural pool with starfish, white sand beaches, lunch and open bar included. The highlight of most people’s trip.
Day 7: Last Morning & Departure
Final sunrise walk on the beach. Pack up, checkout, and transfer back to PUJ. Pro tip: book a late checkout if available and a flexible-time transfer.
